Donald Trump continues rant about legal issues even on Christmas

While people around the world expect their religious, national and political leaders to emphasise peace, family, and unity over the Christmas season, former US President Donald Trump decided to take a different route.

Rather than wishing everyone a happy Christmas, Trump released a torrent of resentment and vitriol on social media, primarily focused on his legal problems, on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

His rant over the holiday season hinted at the polarising and self-serving strategy he may employ in the 2024 election year, which could affect the future of the country, according to CNN.

“THEY SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN, LIED TO CONGRESS, CHEATED ON FISA, RIGGED A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, ALLOWED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, MANY FROM PRISONS & MENTAL INSTITUTIONS, TO INVADE OUR COUNTRY, SCREWED UP IN AFGHANISTAN, & JOE BIDEN’S MISFITS & THUGS, LIKE DERANGED JACK SMITH, ARE COMING AFTER ME, AT LEVELS OF PERSECUTION NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN OUR COUNTRY??? IT’S CALLED ELECTION INTERFERENCE. MERRY CHRISTMAS!” Trump wrote.

Additionally, he denounced a Colorado ruling that had eliminated him from the race, claiming that “most of the crazed Radical Left Lunatics” agreed that the state’s choice was “political delusion.”

Finally, after spending more than half a day ranting about the 2024 presidential election and his various legal woes, the former president shared a video featuring a compilation of his presidential Christmas speeches on Christmas morning.

Trump faces four criminal trials with 91 felony counts next year, while his presidential campaign is underway, despite his legal team’s efforts to delay or dismiss the cases.

His team, on Saturday, asked an appeals court to throw out the 2020 federal election interference case against him on presidential immunity grounds.
